My latest work
So saying this is my latest work is a bit misleading...lol
I photographed this portrait back in August last year. Not everything takes this long, trust me, but I have been very busy with life and other paid work. When working on new images for my portfolio, it takes time because this non-paid work gets pushed to the back burner.
As you can see, I decided to convert this to black and white. Peer pressure....lol

2009 Inauguration
These are some of the images that I took @ the 2009 Inauguration. Hope you like them.
This is the train ride to DC from Alexandria. I have never been a train this full.
I love train photographs, so I decided to get some of my own
Here is a vertical version. I love this for the lights at the end of the tunnel among other things
2 million people.....maybe?
The Capital building @ dawn and on cell phones
Yeah, I tried to get bit artsy...lol
These are the crowded streets shortly after the benediction. I can't believe they closed the Metro (subway)
This is when I decided to walk back to Alexandria
I almost forgot to take a picture of DC before I left. It's my self portrait.

Some recent work
Even though I currently am not working, I am trying to stay busy. I have been shooting a bit. Below are some of what I have been working on lately. I even got the moon...lol
On a elevated subway platform in Bronx, NY in November.
Yes I was in a very awkward position. I'm standing on the stair railing, holding on with one arm and holding the light with the other and taking the picture....I know I'm very skilled...lol
As if you couldn't tell, it's the moon. It was supposedly the closest and brightest the moon was for the entire year.
I was trying out the macro function on my G9. Not bad.
This was a job I did. Isn't she cut? I wish I was cut up like that...lol
Philece posing for me with this idea I had. I have good friends...or maybe she just likes to take pictures.
Megan posing for me doing the same idea as Philece. I was trying to see which one did the best, but I realized they just have different looks. I like them both equally.
Studio 72 Super Shoot
Studio 72 Super Shoot
Studio 72 Super Shoot
I didn't really like the Super Shoot idea. I had to dump all my shots, unedited to the organizer's computer. Then I find out they give the images to the models with their watermarks all over the images, not mine. They even asked for our (the photographers) logos and didn't even use them. What is the point?? They are taking all the credit essentially. What do you think? See what the models get from the studio. Where is my credit. We didn't get paid, we should get credit at least. You can see that they put their logo on the image twice. What is the point of that? Our (the photographers) logos should get the 2nd spot, don't you think?

The campaign trail
I am finally back in Atlanta after a week on traveling on the road following the political campaigns. (both sides) Sunday, 10/26/2008, I was in Asheville, NC covering Gov. Sarah Palin at her rally. Tuesday, 10/28/2008, I was in Fayetteville, NC covering Sen. John McCain at his rally. Wednesday, 10/29/2008, I was in Raleigh, NC covering Sen. Barack Obama at his rally. Not to mention I was in Tampa, FL last week on 10/20/2008 covering Obama as well.
Doing all this traveling and photographing historical events has prompted me to think more and more that I should really consider work as a photojournalist. I have met very nice and interesting people while on the road. Hopefully I have made new friends that I can network with in the future.
Below is a couple of images from the campaign trail. To see more check out my Facebook or Myspace (www.myspace.com/paulmcpherson).
