Just weird...

What is up with Alabama and their welcome center? WHy do they feel like they need to have a rocket to help welcome you to their state? In case you wanted to also see this site, this welcome center is located in Northern Alabama entering the state from TN on I-65 S. Interesting.....

For those wondering where the Oklahoma state sign is, I'm also wondering where it is. I looked and looked. I entered the state from the South on I-44N, a toll road in OK. I went through the info line at the toll and asked the attendant about the sign. She said the state was too cheap for a very visual sign, but there is a granite/marble slab on the ground on at the state line. Who is supposed to see that? Especially from your car, travelling approx. 75-80 mph.

So mom, that is why there is no sign from my childhood state. and anybody else that was wondering. I do however have some photos from my old neighborhood. Check them out below.

My old church,Greater Galilee Baptist Church
My old elementary school, Carriage Hills
My old junior high school. I guess you can see the name already.

Flower Mound Rd, This used to be an old 2 lane country road, now it is modern looking with 4 lanes plus a turning lane.

The old neighborhood street. The trees have really grown.
My old house. I deputy now lives there. I helped plant those trees, I think.

My old street sign

My old backyard (yes the current occupants let me inside)

The backyard on the other side. Again those trees have been growin'

Ft. Sill landmark. The good ole water tower.

The old neighborhood looks pretty good! Your daddy built that shed in the backyard. But it looks like they may have spruced it up a bit! Why didn't you photograph the Daly's old house too?

Crazy one of my good friends used to live in Lawton as well. But honestly OK is one of the most boring states to drive through but not as bad as Kansas!!
